Innovation Fair
Innovation Fair 2025
The Innovation Fair is a non-competitive event to encourage student curiosity and exploration of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) topics and provide a safe space for students to share their projects.
We will come together as a community on March 13, 2025 from 6:15-7 pm to enjoy student projects (LES gym) and interact with our innovative community partners (LES cafeteria and select classrooms).
Brainstorm Worksheet: Not sure where to begin? Use this worksheet to brainstorm things you are curious about!
Narrow it Down Worksheet: Not sure if your project will work for the Innovation Fair? Use this worksheet to help narrow down your ideas.
Get Insipired!
Need ideas for the Innovation Fair? Check out the videos and links below. As always, please review resources to determine if they are a good fit for your family.
One goal of the Innovation Fair is for kids to innovate or be creative with their project. Kids are welcome to come up with their own unique ideas or be inspired by others. Find an idea in a book or online? How can you make it your own? See below for some ideas on how to innovate a project that has already been done.
Question like a scientist - Design like a techie - Build like an engineer - Create like an artist - Deduce like a mathematician

Innovation in the real world
People use innovative and creative solutions all the time to solve problems. Check out this cool video about how engineers used robots to perform difficult stunts!
Creating your display for the Innovation Fair
Each student will have a space on a table in the gym to display their project.
Displays must include the name(s) of students and class codes.
Depending on the project, displays can look different. Each display should describe the project, the process, and the result.
There are many ways you can display your project at the Innovation Fair.
Trifold Board
Available at many craft stores
Mrs. Lichty has boards available in the library. We kindly ask for a $3 donation.
Add pictures, data, or other important parts of your project to the board.
Display Items
Did you make something? Display it on the table
Remember - no liquids or organisms at the fair!
Technology
Play a video on a loop
Slideshow of pictures
