Biography:

I’m a southern girl, just living in a Colorado world! Both my husband and I are originally from Louisiana and now we have lived in Colorado for 19 years! I have two children and two dogs that keep us pretty busy all year long. I have been teaching for 25 years with 17 of those years right here at Kohl. I have taught grades 3-2-1, and Kindergarten! I have a Master's in Teaching and I am a National Board Certified Teacher. My passion is literacy and I love hugs! I also love spending time with my family and watching football! Both of my children went through Kohl and now my daughter attends Broomfield High School and my son attends Colorado School of Mines. Kohl Elementary is a great school and a great community to be a part of and I’m looking forward to another great year and meeting all of the wonderful families….GO COLTS!

Biography:

Caitlin is a Colorado native and attended the University of Colorado Boulder where she earned her B.S. in Psychology alongside an Elementary Education Endorsement. She also received certification through Front Range Community College teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). Caitlin completed her Master's at the University of Colorado Denver as a Reading Teacher K-12. She considers herself a lifelong learner and appreciates the opportunity to continue her own education.

This school year marks the 12th year that Caitlin has been teaching - 11 of them in Kindergarten and 1 year with the Second grade squad! She loves teaching writing, science and library time with her class, helping kids check out books they love, is her favorite time of the week! 

In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys traveling the world with her husband. They also spend plenty of time at home with their fur baby Sushi the Cat, cooking together, watching movies and enjoying life. When she is not inside, you'll find her camping in beautiful Colorado,  working out in the garden or out with friends and family. Other hobbies include reading, crafting, and playing board games!
