Meet Emily Jamison- With 19 years of teaching experience, I have found my passion in kindergarten, where I love helping young learners grow academically, socially, and emotionally. I earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in curriculum and instruction, which have helped me shape my dedication to creating engaging and meaningful learning experiences for students. Meet Kate French- I’m so excited to be back in kindergarten for my second year of teaching! I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from CU Boulder (Sko Buffs!) and am looking forward to starting my master’s program at CU Denver this fall. After two years of student teaching in kindergarten and a wonderful year teaching fourth grade here at Meadowlark, I couldn’t be happier to be back in Kinder!

When I’m not in the classroom, I love spending time outdoors, crafting, camping, playing music, taking photos, cooking, and curling up with a good book. I also enjoy going on adventures with my black Lab, Lola. I can’t wait to welcome students into my bright lemon-themed classroom for a year full of curiosity, kindness, growth, and lots of fun. Meet Allison Trautwein- I’m excited to begin my 17th year of teaching and continue building meaningful relationships with students and families. I earned my Master’s in Education and was honored to receive the Impact on Education Award last year. I’m passionate about creating a classroom where every child feels safe, encouraged, and excited to learn.

Outside of school, my husband and I are raising our two wonderful daughters, Olive (14) and Pearl (12), who is a current Maverick. This past summer, we explored the country together in our RV, making unforgettable family memories. I’m also a proud breast cancer survivor, and my experiences have strengthened my resilience and appreciation for each day. One fun fact my students love: I own more than 600 pairs of earrings and yes, her husband can attest that number is not an exaggeration! allison.trautwein@bvsd.org
