WELCOME TO WOODWORKING TECHNOLOGY!

Woodworking Technology I serves as an introduction to a career pathway in fabrication, with a focus on organic materials. Students will become familiar with topics such as safety, measurements, wood selection, hand and power tools, machinery, assembly, and finishes. Once core competencies have been established, hands-on projects will be constructed from design to completion. By the end of this course, students are expected to have a strong understanding of shop etiquette and fabrication basics. The information taught in this course will provide a stepping stone to upper level Woodworking courses and the confidence to move into an apprenticeship role to further refine their skills.
