The Teacher Librarian Role: 21st Century Cohort

Strategic Objectives/Goals (measurable):

• Foster relationships between teacher librarians and cohort teachers at each building
• Empower teacher leaders to lead action research at each school
• Become a 21st Century Teacher Librarian

Role Description:

• Facilitate action research in conjunction with the classroom teacher(s) on a determined area: student engagement, critical thinking skill development, effective differentiation strategies, assessment of skill, etc.
• Process & analyze research findings with classroom teachers & Ed Tech
• Guide teachers in a reflection processes using collected data
• Present to cabinet and/or other leadership at BVSD, TIE and/or additional conferences with action research results, etc. (AS NEEDED)
• Participate in site-based meetings with cohort teachers
