Then identify 3 clear reasons. We will use this to turn into your thesis statement.

STEP 5: Intro Paragraph

Write your introductory paragraph using the following format:

General Information > Discuss the prompt or debate > Thesis Statement.

Who, what, when, where, - The Aztecs. Then highlight all important aspects of their culture. Then close with your thesis statement 

STEP 6: Body Paragraphs

We will use the CER framework to organize your body paragraphs. 

C: CLAIM - Restate thesis highlighting the main idea of the paragraph. 

E: EVIDENCE - Identify evidence from the historical record that supports your claim.

R: REASONING - Connect your evidenc back to your claim; explain how that evidence supports your thesis
