Hello! Some of you already knew me as the RISE Intensive Learning Center Autism teacher from 2019-2023 at Coal Creek, but I transitioned in 2024 to the role of Special Education Resource Teacher.
This is my 22nd year teaching! I have been an elementary classroom teacher, MTSS intervention teacher, but mostly special education in Autism programs and Resource. I love teaching special education and it is so rewarding being able to support the students in becoming successful.
We moved from Oregon just 6 years ago. My husband and I have been together for 18 years. We have 2 boys at Coal Creek in 4th grade and Southern Hills MS In 7th grade. In our spare time we love going to the swimming pool, traveling, running and spending time with our dog Lily.
Hi! My name is Shasta Rosales, and I’m excited to start the new school year at Coal Creek Elementary as a Resource Teacher. I’ve been in education for about 17 years and am passionate about supporting students in their growth both academically and emotionally. I’m truly looking forward to partnering with all of you this year!
Outside of school, I’m a proud mom to three beautiful kids, and we share our home with our dog Luna and our cat Peach. I love spending time with my family, hiking, biking, dancing, reading—and of course, starting each day with a good cup of coffee! I’m thrilled to be part of the Coal Creek community and can’t wait for a great year ahead!
2019-2020 was Natalie's first year at Coal Creek Elementary School. As a speech-language pathologist, she has worked with students ages birth-18 in the school setting. She is amazing with them!
Becca holds a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota and undergraduate degrees in Therapeutic Recreation and Outdoor Education from St. Cloud State University. She has experience working with people with a wide range of abilities in multiple settings including schools, hospitals, in-home care, camps, and provide hippotherapy in addition to working at BVSD. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, cooking, home remodeling projects, hiking, and enjoying all that Colorado has to offer. She has been working with students at Coal Creek since 2019.
Hello! I’m originally from the Midwest, having grown up in Wisconsin and attended college there. After graduating, I worked as a school psychologist in Minnesota for two years before moving to Colorado. In my free time, I enjoy traveling — I’ve visited all 50 states — as well as camping, hiking, and running ultramarathons.
Hi! Joni and I are excited to be back at Coal Creek this year! Joni Mitch is my therapy dog. She is great at helping kiddos regulate. This will be my fourth year as a School Social Worker. My Social Work Masters degree is from DU, where I also received a certificate in Animal Assisted Social Work. Outside of work, you can find me hiking in the mountains, doing yoga, or in my garden.
