Here are the final images of Loincloth-man.
The first step for painting this model was priming the model (not shown). Then the base color of the skin was applied. This can be seen in the left two pictures. In the right two pictures, shading has been applied to the skin to make it pop.
Then I applied a separate color to the back of the "scales" on the model's back to make them pop even more (but in a subtle way). This can be seen in both images.
I painted his toe-nails and figure-nails a dull brown. Then I decided to paint his rock. I first painted it black (left-most image) and then edge-highlighted it to make it less boring. This can be seen in both the middle image and the right-most image. In the rightmost image, I painted his face. His eyes were painted blue while I did his mouth a bit differently. I first painted the teeth a dull sand-color and then shaded the entire inside of the mouth. I then painted the teeth again as well as the lips (I painted them a mix of red and the skin color).
Now I am almost done with the model. I painted his straps first (just a light brown). This can be seen in the left-most image. Then I painted his loincloth (both middle images) and then shaded it and the straps (far right image). I also painted the metal rings holding the straps together with a light silver. This can be seen (barely) across all 4 images.
The left-most image is just another picture of the finished loincloth. The other 2 images were taken right after I had started basing the model.
