#MakeItBeautiful

What is it?

#makeitbeautiful is a campaign that was started in the spring of 2018 along side the production of Heathers. The musical touched on a lot of very sensitive subjects like domestic violence, sexual assault, body image issues, and mental health. The troupe wanted to shed light on those that are overlooked and show that they are not alone. At every production of Broomfield Theater they raise money for recipient of their choice and all the funds raised go to them.

This year

We sold socks to donate to THE GATHERING PLACE.

Founded in 1986, The Gathering Place is the only daytime drop-in center in metropolitan Denver that serves women, transgender individuals, and their children who are experiencing poverty, many of whom are also experiencing homelessness. While they refer to those they serve as "members," no fees are ever charged for programs or services.

The Gathering Place (much like The Eagle Way Theatre Company) believes deeply in the power of our community and continually work to make it stronger. Their key values include recognizing individual strengths, building respect and trust, and offering unconditional acceptance. They are not just a service organization; they are committed advocates for their members and promote social justice for every woman, child, and transgender individual in our community.
