Eagle Classic

The Eagle Classic
2 Man Best Ball Invitational

The Eagle Classic is a 2 man best ball invitational tournament that we host at the Broadlands Golf Course each fall during the boys golf season. This tournament is usually held on the second Tuesday of the golf season, the week after tryouts.  This is a fun event where the boys on the teams have a rare opportunity to play as a partner with another member of their team.

History of The Eagle Classic

In 2017, head coach Tony Ferraro was trying to schedule an invitational tournament that Broomfield could host. Trying to come up with something a little different than the format that the boys typically get play, he decided on hosting a Best Ball event. 2 players from the same team will be partners, they each get to play their own ball all the way to the hole, and get their own individual score, and at the same time get a team score with the better of the two scores from the partnership. This gives teams the opportunity to put teammates together, and the players get to have a little more fun at the beginning of the season. We also added a Long Drive and Closest to the Pin contests. This tournament is designed to be fun, and help players learn how to play tournament golf if they have never played before.
