This is Mrs. Sillman's second year at Broomfield High! She moved to Colorado in 2023 and previously taught orchestra in Iowa for 3 years. She graduated from Iowa State University in 2019, with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. She has been a part of many orchestras since she began playing the violin, including the Broomfield Symphony, Iowa State Symphony Orchestra, Iowa State Chamber Orchestra, Iowa City Community String Orchestra, St. Cloud State Orchestra, Minnesota SEC Honor Orchestra, and several quartets.
Along with the violin, she studied piano for 14 years and was a student of Dr. Mei-Hsuan Huang at Iowa State. She loves teaching private lessons as well as beginner group classes, and occasionally plays for weddings and other events. She also worked closely with the New Zealand Youth Symphony Orchestra in Wellington, as an intern for Radio New Zealand Concert in 2018.
Outside of music, she enjoys traveling the world, board sports, trying out new recipes, teaching BODYPUMP classes, hanging with her puppy Zava, and spending time with husband, friends & family.
