Youth Exchange Program(YEP)
In the context of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), YEP stands for Youth Exchange Program. Essentially, YEP is a program designed to foster international understanding and friendship through cadet exchange. Cadets from India travel to other countries, and cadets from those countries visit India, participating in cultural exchange and learning activities.
Republic Day Camp(RDC)
RDC in NCC stands for Republic Day Camp. It is a prestigious annual camp organized by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in India, held from January 1st to 29th at Delhi Cantt. The camp culminates in the Prime Minister's Rally on January 27th and showcases the discipline, cultural activities, and overall training of NCC cadets. Events include: Kartavya path parade, Best Cadet/YEP, PM Rally, Guard of Honour and Cultural program.
Thal Sainik Camp(TSC)
TSC in NCC stands for Thal Sainik Camp. It's a 12-day national-level camp held annually in Delhi, typically in late autumn. The camp is conducted by the NCC in collaboration with the Indian Army and involves competitive events designed to test and enhance the physical and mental capabilities of selected cadets. Events includes: Map reading(MR), Health & hygiene(H&H),Judging distance & field craft(JDFS),Firing and obstacle running.
Para Basic Camp(PBC)
The Para Basic Camp in NCC, also known as the Paratroopers Course, is a highly sought-after training opportunity for NCC cadets, focusing on developing paratrooping skills. It is held twice a year, in September and November, with 40 reserved vacancies (20 for girls and 20 for boys) at the Paratroopers Training School in Agra.
Special National Integration Camp(SNIC/NIC)
A Special National Integration Camp (SNIC), also known as a National Integration Camp (NIC), is a National Cadet Corps (NCC) event designed to foster national unity and cultural harmony among youth from different parts of India. These camps aim to bridge cultural gaps and promote a sense of common identity and national consciousness. SNICs are held in various locations, including the extremities of the country, such as Leh, Nagrota, Chakabama, Srinagar, Lakshadweep, and Port Blair
