Today was the last Chapel of the year! Wow, this year went by quick. Next week is Senior Commissioning Chapel in The Worship Center.
Today we went through our theme verse for the year. Philippians 2:12-13 "Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose." Our goal for this year was helping our students understand what it means to be a follower of Jesus. We had various messages from Pastor Jeff and guest speakers. But the goal of each message, each week, was, how to live out our faith on a daily basis.
I am grateful for the gift and honor of speaking to our Kindergarten through Senior classes every Friday. As the close of this school year approaches, I want to give you one last question to talk about as a family. Take time this weekend and over the summer to ask your kids what they learned this year at school. Ask them about each subject, project, paper and book report. Take a moment to ask them how each assignment pointed them to God and what they learned about who God is. Finally, ask them "How do you know what God's will is for your life?" Hopefully, they will know the answer is to saturate their minds with Scripture.
Thank you for a great year! Enjoy the summer break!
