There are moments that remind us exactly why BVCS exists and this past month was one of them.
During our All-School Easter Chapel, we celebrated as 11 students took a bold step of faith through baptism. Each story was a powerful reflection of God at work—students choosing to publicly declare their relationship with Jesus. It was a meaningful, joy-filled moment for our entire school community and a beautiful picture of what it means to be a Christ-centered school.
That momentum carried into Spiritual Emphasis Week, where we had the opportunity to spend all five days in chapel—slowing down, leaning in, and focusing on God’s Word together.
For our Junior High and High School students, we were grateful to welcome guest speaker Algernon Tennyson, who brought a clear and powerful message centered on unity in Christ. One truth that especially resonated:
“We are only as strong as we are unified in Christ.”
For our K–6th students, chapels focused on Faith in Action through the book of James. Each day, students were challenged with a simple, tangible way to live out their faith—reminding us that following Jesus isn’t just something we believe, it’s something we live.
This is the BVCS Difference: Not just teaching students about Jesus—but creating space for them to know Him, follow Him, and live out their faith every day.
