DO-A-THON RECAP:

Way to go BVCS! Our students completed over 100 projects and made an impact in our community through serving others! Together, our students raised $68,135 for the BVCS IMPACT Fund! We loved seeing everyone get involved by living out our school mission to impact the world for Christ. Our school had a project as well...the BVCS Do-A-Thon is giving $1,000 to Doulos Discovery School, a Christian school in the Dominican Republic, to help them purchase supplies and technology.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Welcome back to school! We are so thankful to start our second half of the school year. And if you can believe it...it's time to think about enrollment for next school year. So mark your calendars with a big red circle around Friday, January 25 - just 14 days away. This is the first day you can go online and re-enroll your child(ren) for next year. The re-enrollment time frame is from January 25 - February 12. At 9:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, we will close re-enrollment and go to open enrollment (new families can begin to enroll). We will be sending out all the information you need by January 22, including online directions and tuition/registration rates.

You'll want to take advantage of the January 25 - February 12 re-enrollment period for two important reasons:

  1. Your registration fee increases after 9:00 p.m. on February 12.

  2. You want your child to be guaranteed a spot for next year. We open enrollment to new families on February 12. We have many new families hoping to enroll for the 2021-2022 school year. We expect to fill quickly! Current families can continue to enroll after Friday, February 12, but once we are full, there is no guarantee of a class placement and your child(ren) may need to be placed on a waiting list.

NEW BVCS LIONS BLOG:

Everyone loves a great story! And Big Valley Christian School has a great story to share and celebrate...one of God's faithfulness, love and care. Each week, we will be sharing the BVCS story with our families and community through our BVCS Lions Blog. We will include it right here for you each week so you never have to miss it.

You can read this week's blog post here.

NEW FREE APP: If you would like to be able to stay connected to FACTS (grades, etc) and other BVCS info, install the New Family app, which is free to BVCS families.

OLD APP: The old app is no longer supported by FACTS and there is now a charge to families who want to keep the old FACTS app.

UPDATE REGARDING FACE COVERINGS, BUFFS/SCARVES AND SHIELDS:

Stanislaus County Public Health has contacted us informing us that we need to communicate the following information regarding face coverings, buffs/scarves and shields for all BVCS students and staff.

  • Buffs, and scarves cannot be worn as face coverings. Face coverings must have ear loops.

  • Face covering are mandatory for all adults walking on to campus, including adults dropping-off and picking-up students even when outside (this doesn't apply to when you are in your own car).

  • Face shields may be worn without a face covering if the shield has a drape that covers the entire edge of the shield and extends down to the chest for both students and adults.
