Our goal with this part of the Friday @ 5:00 is to give you, as the parent(s), resources to have conversations about Jesus, with your family.

Can I trust the Bible? YES! The beauty of Scripture is 2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness," This is amazing because the words of Scripture have been breathed out by God and we can trust them because God is the source of truth. This is what we talked about in Chapel this past week. The big word for this is, inerrancy, which is a big word we use to talk about how God's Word always tells the truth, even when the truth is hard or hurts. This is how we challenged ourselves and our students this week in chapel: can you tell the truth, even when it's hard?

Take a moment with your family this week and challenge each other, can you tell the truth, even when it's hard? Ask each other, "When is it hard to tell the truth? What does the world tell us about telling the truth? What does God say about telling the truth? What are some moments in the Bible where it tells the truth and it's hard to hear or understand? I am praying that these conversations lead to a deeper faith for you, your child(ren) and your whole family!
