TIRELESS TEACHER - ASHLEY HOWELL
High School Leadership celebrated our first Tireless Teacher - Ashley Howell this week!
STAFF SPOTLIGHT - DAWN TERZO
The vision of Big Valley Christian School is to glorify God by striving to reach the highest standard of Christian education. This week, we received the following letter from College Board commending one of our very own educators for doing just that!
Congratulations to Dawn Terzo!
In June 2023, over 23,000 high school teachers and college faculty joined forces to score close to 5.2 million AP exams. The careful evaluation of students’ work by Dawn and other highly qualified educators is one of the most important aspects of the AP Program. Credit through AP is largely made possible by the evaluation and scoring process that reflects the high standards of AP Readers who, by virtue of their experience and expertise, have appropriate student performance expectations within their respective disciplines. Many AP teachers report that the AP Reading is an exceptional professional development experience. Our latest survey tells us that 98% of AP Readers who have participated in more than one AP Reading say that their involvement has had a positive impact on their teaching. Thank you for supporting your teacher’s participation in the 2023 AP Reading and for recognizing the value this experience has had on Dawn and your AP students. We hope that you will continue to support Dawn’s involvement in future AP Readings.
Sincerely,
Terry Redican
Vice President, AP and Instruction
