This week in Chapel, we talked about being made new in Christ. Our main passage was Ephesians 3&4. We read how Paul interacted with the believers in Ephesus and what it means to be unified as the body of Christ.

Pastor Jeff spoke to our Junior High chapel about focusing on being made new in Christ. As this was the final chapel for our 8th grade students, Pastor Jeff focused in on the truth that for us to be made new, we must saturate our minds with Scripture. Citing Ephesians 4:23 "...to be made new in the attitude of your minds;..." As well as Romans 12:2 "...Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

Paul is clearly communicating that for each of us to be more like Jesus, we must saturate our minds with God's Word.

For our High School Chapel, Mr. Godfrey shared his testimony. He focused on the truth that we are sinners and we need to be saved from our sin, not just forgiven. One of the main points he made was that the first word Jesus used when He began His earthly ministry was "Repent...".

Our K-6th Chapel time today got to celebrate and enjoy the Bible Trivia Championship. Our final teams faced off in the Worship Center. It was a nail-biter all the way to the end. Finally, the boys were able to win with the tie breaker question. 

It was truly an exciting day!
