We’re excited to share that Big Valley Christian School has officially selected our next Superintendent, David O'Leary, for the 2026–2027 school year. You can read more information HERE.

Junior high is a season of growth, challenge, and discovery—and strong, consistent leadership matters. We are encouraged by this decision and confident it supports the continued development of our students academically, socially, and spiritually.

JUNIOR HIGH (6-8th Grade) SPRING SPORT SEASON:

JH Wrestling: Start Date February 9, 3:15 in BVCS MPR, open to 6-8th grade boys. Contact Coach Stubbert with questions at scotts@bvg.org

JH Softball: Tryout Start Date March 9, 3:15 at BVCS Church Softball Field, open to 6-8th grade girls. Contact Coach Booth with questions at krtmstr@yahoo.com

JH Softball Open Clinic: Before tryouts, come out for softball open clinics with Coach Booth! Open to all 6-8th girls at no charge - February 20 & 27, 3:15-5:00.

JH Boys Volleyball: Tryout Start Date March 9, 3:15

JH Baseball: Notice: BVC Junior High will not be offering a JH baseball team for the 2025–2026 season.

Students interested in playing Junior High baseball this spring are encouraged to contact the Athletic Office for information about local league opportunities or with any questions.

JH Boys Volleyball & Softball Parent Meeting: March 9, tentatively 5:15. Get the details of each sport and understand the commitment needed to be a part of the team.

JH Track & Field will not be offered this school year.

To tryout for a BVCS sports team you must complete the homecampus.com clearance registration. A current sport physical from a physician must be uploaded at homecampus.com. Plan ahead so you can complete this before the sport start date. This must be done each school year.

Dear 8th Grade Parents,

This is your last chance to purchase a Junior High Yearbook for the 2025-2026 school year!

Yearbooks are $90 and must be purchased ASAP to guarantee your copy. You can turn in cash or a check to the front office, or you can pay online here: https://payit.nelnet.net/form/dZaXvhbh

Distribution details:
8th Graders will receive their yearbooks at the 8th Grade Banquet. Date TBD
7th Graders will receive theirs during 7th period the day after.

This is the final call to purchase an 8th Grade Yearbook Ad to celebrate your student and their time in junior high!

8th Grade Ads are a special way to honor your child with a personal message, photos, and encouragement as they prepare for the next chapter. If you would like your student featured, all ads must be purchased and submitted by February 4.

Ad Cost: Full page- $200; Half page- $150; Quarter page- $100
