MINIMUM DAY REMINDER:
Tuesday, January 17th is a Minimum Day. Students will be released at noon; X-Care will be open 12:00-6:00 PM, with no charge to families. Any student on campus that is not being supervised by a coach and/or teacher must report to X-Care in the Lion's Lair. Please communicate this information to your students!

WINTER HOMECOMING:
Winter Homecoming week is scheduled for the last full week in January - January 23-27th. Information on the week’s festivities including the Schedule for Buff Ball practice and game times (during lunch) were provided at last week’s faculty meeting.
Reminder: there will be a Rally for High School students on Wednesday, January 25th during the Advisory period. Please plan accordingly! Thursday, January 26th is JH Fun Thursday during 7th period. Friday is the basketball homecoming game and royalty celebration in the evening!

Wednesday: Mathlete OR Athlete
Thursday: Beach OR Business
Friday: Blue OR Gold - come in all blue or come in all gold for Homecoming!
Each day, please take a count of how many students are dressed up to go towards their spirit counts! An email will be sent with a link each day from Jackie Ward. Likewise, we will be including the winner of the 2023 Buff Ball in the spirit counts competition!
All staff - please try to attend the Homecoming games on the 27th vs. Millenium! It's a great way to celebrate one more thing that's amazing about Big Valley!
THE BVCS DINNER & AUCTION
Our 2023 action will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Kickin' Spur Ranch LIVE & IN PERSON.
3RD QUARTER SPIRIT/ACADEMIC INCENTIVE REWARD:
For the 3rd quarter, we will be celebrating one High School and one Junior High grade level with the highest overall GPA calculated during the 3rd quarter. The event, Popcorn and Movie (in the Venue) will be hosted during the 2 block days at the end of March. High school will go on Wednesday, March 29th during Advisory Period and Junior High will go on Thursday, March 30th during 7th period electives. Please communicate with your students that the 3rd quarter incentive is recognizing academic achievement.
