Modules
Units at CCHS are organized into week-long modules. Each week brings two fresh options for modules, which cover a wide range of subjects and tasks. In English, one week may be graphic novels, another may cover persuasive writing and debates, the next week may be Jane Austen.
Use the Modules Menu to browse modules and access important information about each one. Students can also choose to read books independently and complete analysis work in the Reading and Writing module.
But how do I earn a credit?
Each 5 day module is worth a total of 20 points, with 4 day weeks typically worth 16. Additionally, in order to earn points, all work must earn at least 80% proficiency.
An accumulation of 100 points earns one credit for English; however, each English credit requires at least one module from every category (Connect, Construct, and Curious).
