College Visits to Bush
We are thrilled to be welcoming scores of admissions representatives to Bush this fall and cannot wait for juniors to have the opportunity to kick-off their college search through these important connections. We also want to acknowledge that college visits may feel intimidating for some juniors and encourage you to instead view them as an opportunity to explore, learn, and listen. The admissions representatives who visit campus throughout the fall are also almost always the folks who read applications from Bush, so this is your chance to not only get your college feet wet but also educate colleges about our unique K-12 community!
Some important details
College visits are thirty-minutes long and run from Monday, September 8 through mid-November. They take place during class blocks and lunch in Gracemont 214, unless otherwise noted in Scoir.
All visits will be posted for students in Scoir and are embedded in the Google Classroom calendar on the College Counseling Website for parents/guardians to also view. Please note that colleges will continue to sign up for visits throughout the fall so we encourage students and parents/guardians to keep an eye on Scoir and Google Classroom, respectively.
To attend a college visit during class time, students must also always ASK PERMISSION from their teacher before signing up on Scoir - please be respectful! If the teacher says yes, it is then the student’s responsibility to make up any missed work. If you cannot miss class to attend a college visit, consider asking your teacher if you can attend only the first five minutes of the visit to meet the admissions representative, collect materials, and demonstrate interest.
