(June 21-25, 2023, Tsaile, Arizona) The Arizona Youth Leadership Forum (AZYLF) held in Dine College, Tsaile Campus was attended by our Freshman and Sophomore students. Our students developed strong bonds with one another and with forum's facilitators. They practiced independence,  learned leadership skills, and created their own Person-Centered-Plan. Draven, Starr, Darrion, Stephanie, Eaglebear, and Maryhanna... YOU ARE ALL AMAZING!!!! Many great memories of this Summer! Be it brainstorming, resume writing, mock interview, outdoor activities (We love the weather here!!!), socializing, and speaking in front of the group. You were just being AWESOME!

Much appreciation to Delano Ignacio for keeping us safe on the road and Kenny Wilson for supporting everyone on this trip. And a HUGE shout out to our STUDENTS for their participation and to our FAMILIES for their encouragement and support!

BUSD is proud and excited to have six blossoming student leaders!!! This is only the beginning. Let's continue to work together to develop leaders and movers of our community!

On October 24, 2022, our campus hosted Sonoran Center for Excellence in Disabilities and Window Rock Unified School District professionals to plan and share ideas to strengthen partnerships and to improve transition programs for students. Our guests toured the facilities and talked with our Administrators and with CTE and ESS teachers about their classes and services. The team was joined by Harunah Damba, Chairperson of the United Persons with Disabilities in Uganda, via Zoom.
