COURSE WITHDRAWALS/SCHEDULE CHANGES
Once school begins, students will have until the end of the first full week of school to submit a request for an elective or academic course change. After this time period, no schedule changes will be made until the first semester is over. For year-long courses, students will be expected to remain in the course for the duration of the year, regardless of grade earned. Teacher preference is not recognized as a reason for a class change.
Seniors must have a minimum of 5 classes on their schedule.
Bellflower Unified School District Admin Regulation 5121:
A student who drops or changes a course after the first six weeks of the semester shall receive an "F" grade for the course or his/her permanent record, unless otherwise decided by the principal or designee because of extenuating circumstances.
