I would like my student to attend the BAE Center, how do I enroll them?
The Bellflower Alternative Education Center is a referral only school from Bellflower, Mayfair, and Somerset High Schools.
How long does my child have to attend the BAE Center?
Before a student begins attending the BAE Center, they are assigned a Rehabilitation and Education Plan or a Student Success Plan, which outlines all of the requirements a student must meet before they may return to their home school.
When can my child go back to their home school?
Once all of the requirements in their Rehabilitation/Student Success Plan have been met, a readmission conference is held to review the supporting documentation and a recommendation will be made to the governing board. Upon Board approval, the student will be able to return to their home school.
My child was riding the bus to their home school, can they continue to ride the bus to BAE?
Bus transportation is not provided to or from the BAE Center.
Where can my child earn their community service hours?
It is the responsibility of the parent to arrange for their student to perform at least 40 hours of community service through an agency approved by the school district. The BAE Center case manager, can help with providing resources and contact information.
My child completed all the requirements in their Rehabilitation/Student Success Plan, when will they be able to return to their home school?

Does my child have to attend the BAE Summer Session?
All BAE Center students are required to attend the Summer Session.
My child did not complete the requirements in their Rehabilitation/Student Success Plan, but will be graduating soon, can he graduate with his home school?
If the requirements in their Rehabilitation/Student Success Plan have not been met, students may not graduate with their homeschool. However, if they have completed all the required coursework and earned the required credits, they may still earn their high school diploma through Somerset High School, and may participate in the graduation ceremony at Somerset.
What do students need to bring to school every day?
Students do not need to bring any class materials. Everything will be provided and backpacks are not permitted on campus.
