Fly Ranch is a 5.6-square-mile sanctuary in Nevada, home to diverse plants, wildlife, and the Fly Geyser hot springs.
As a Burning Man rural center, Fly Ranch fosters interactive art, community participation, and public benefit.
This oasis of art and ecology inspires awe and wonder, bringing people together year-round to explore, create, and innovate.
The BWB Summit is located on the shoreline near the site of the 1997 Burn on the Hualapai Flat. A short distance from the Fly Ranch Facilities/Ops Center, and a long hike to the Fly Geyser, this area is a wealth of wetland ecosystem flora and fauna. Quiet campers see many types of birds, foxes, insects, and of course, cows and wild horses.
Fly Ranch is located three hours from Reno, and having a vehicle is essential for transportation—whether you choose to rent or carpool. A carpool sign-up sheet will be available for ticketed guests to coordinate rides.
On your drive to Fly Ranch, make time for an adventure-filled stop at the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe Museum & Visitors Center, where you can explore the deep history, culture, and legends of the region. These stops will enrich your journey, setting the stage for the wonders ahead at Fly Ranch!
Just outside Gerlach, Friends of Black Rock High Rock is a must-stop for books, maps, and insights on the region. This conservation-focused group partners with local tribes and the BLM, offering tours and volunteer programs.
