Goal D: Value the VPA as a core subject area
Objective D-1: Create and communicate a consistent message regarding the vital importance of the arts for all stakeholders at every level.
Action: Develop a marketing plan which demonstrates the diverse, safe, and creative artistic world in the district.
Status: Music-on hold, Theater-in progress, Visual Art- K-5 -in progress, 6-12 behind schedule due to COVID
To do: K-12 VPA Teacher Leader(s) and K-12 VPA staff will work with building VPA Administrator, webmaster, and public relations office to promote consistent VPA messaging
Objective D-2: Promote greater understanding and communication between the arts and administration throughout the district.
Action: Explore opportunities for arts staff to communicate with key administrators in advance to appropriately plan for community arts events, and to effectively communicate the magnitude of preparation required. Status: Music-on hold, Theater-in progress, Visual Art- K-5 -in progress, 6-12 on hold
To do: K-12 VPA Teacher Leader(s) will meet with each buildings' VPA content administrator at least two times per year
To do: 6-12 VPA staff will invite building VPA content administrator to at least one department meeting each month
To do: PK-5 VPA staff will meet with their building's VPA content administrator at least two times per year
