About Me

I grew up in Freehold Township, New Jersey and played soccer and basketball at Freehold Township High School.  After high school, I went to Virginia Tech to play soccer and graduated in 1996 with a double major in Psychology and Political Science.  Shortly after, I began coaching soccer at Freehold Borough High School and realized I had a passion for teaching.  The next year, I began substitute teaching and took the Praxis Tests to become a certified teacher.  I was hired to teach Psychology and Law at Raritan High School in Hazlet, NJ.  I also served as the soccer coach, softball coach, mock trial team coach, and Odyssey of the Mind judge.  In 2008, I graduated from Georgian Court University with my Master's Degree in Supervision, Administration, and Curriculum.  Immediately after graduation, I was hired to be the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for the Northern Burlington School District.  After a very successful two years there, I took over as the Principal of The Titusville Academy which is a small private school for students with emotional and behavioral disorders.  My next opportunity came when I was offered my first public school principal position at Keyport High School.  Finally, I was offered my current position at Burlington Township High School.  It has been my pleasure to serve the Burlington Township Community for the last 11 years.  In December of 2019, I earned my doctorate in Educational Leadership from Rowan University.  My dissertation is on the impact that virtual reality can have on secondary schools.  In 2019, I was also named the Burlington County Visionary Leader.  It was an amazing honor that meant a great deal to me.

I believe that leadership starts with trust, relationships, and communication.  As a leader, I will not have all of the answers, but I will have relationships with people who can provide great insight and together we will develop a comprehensive plan to make BTHS the best it can be.  I love working with students and seeing them grow and develop as they prepare for college, careers, or the military.  There are not many communities like Burlington Township, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with our amazing families every day. Thank you for your support and have an outstanding day.
