Math Tutoring
Free Math Tutoring for BCIT Students (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2)- Begins September 29th
Language Assistance
At BCIT, we have three certified ESL teachers- Ms. DiMenna, Mr. Scalia, and Ms. Taylor. These staff members support our Multilingual Learners in designated English as a Second Language classes and in a push-in support capacity when students do not have English in a given semester.
We have a number of language translator tablets available to students who are very new to the language. These tablets are placed in their content area classrooms and students can access translations of the teachers directions/ instruction right to their Chromebooks in their language of choice.
All BCIT students have a school-issued Chromebook. We encourage our Multilingual Learners to utilize translation services available to them like Google Translate when necessary to assist in their content area classes when the language barrier does not allow them to demonstrate their learning or understand the teacher.
