Cyberbullying may be happening to you, your child, or to someone you know. Below you will find information on what cyberbullying is and what you can do about it. If you, a student or someone you know are having any difficulties with this please let a trusting adult, such as a parent or guardian know. It is very important to take care of yourself online while learning how to navigate the virtual world.

Anti bullying video lesson on the consequences of cyber bullying for classroom and home use that includes follow up questions to use with your current anti bullying and character education curriculum. Educational comedian Keith Deltano explains the consequences of breaking state level HIB (harassment, intimidation and bullying) laws. He backs it up with a true story about a high school senior who had his scholarship revoked after being prosecuted for cyber bullying. Includes follow up questions at the end of the video - hit pause for discussion time. 

Your students will learn how a background check can negatively impact them years after the cyber bullying event and subsequent prosecution occurred. They will also learn that prosecution for cyber bullying is happening at a higher rate than they believe and that law enforcement has the ability to recover deleted texts, tweets, posts, and images.
