"Imagine if you could engage every student in your class, every day. What if you could instantly see who’s confused and who’s ready for more? That’s the power of Pear Deck. With the Pear Deck for Google Slides Add-on, you can add the magic of Pear Deck’s formative assessments and interactive questions to your presentations." Single SignOn Service - beginning for students Nov. 1st
Teachers and Staff can choose to use Classlink by adding a bookmark to the BCPS Classlink Page https://launchpad.classlink.com/home on their Google Chrome bookmark bar. If Classlink is not needed, simply click on the plus to add a new tab in your Google Chrome window and continue working as usual.
All BCPS students and employees will soon be using Classlink as a single sign-on service for all technology devices (Chromebooks, Macbooks, iPads, etc). This will begin to appear as the students’ home screen in Google Chrome for middle school students on November 1st, high school students December 1st, and for elementary school students in January.
On November 1st when the students sign into their Chromebooks and open Google Chrome, they will need to type in Burke County Public Schools to search for our school system. Then their individual Classlink page should appear. As they use the links on their Classlink page to access websites requiring usernames and passwords, Classlink will remember their login information if the students clicks on the messages that will Allow Classlink to Update Their Password. From then on, when they click that icon again, Classlink will sign them in automatically… getting things started in class will soon be that much easier and time efficient.
Teachers can use this same video to share with students in homerooms to help them add links to websites that are not already loaded for all students. They can also link their Classlink Files section to Google Drive and access all Google files they already created, as well as create new files inside their Classlink page.
