What is the S2S program?
It is a program created by the Military Child Education Coalition, to help support and connect new students to military and civilian students at their school. It started in 2004 and has grown immensely with our Burkburnett High School getting national recognition this summer! The program is student led with faculty guidance. Shepard AFB Honor Guard came to Tower's S2S meeting to show them how to properly handle the American Flag. The flag duty was picked up by S2S this year as a way to provide service to Tower Elementary.

The Burkburnett HS S2S students came to explain the importance of S2S in their lives, while helping Tower's S2S students create donation buckets. These donation buckets were later used at car rider drop off to collect spare change. The funds raised were donated to Midwestern State University's Fantasy of Lights program, which is a long standing local tradition in Wichita Falls.

The Burkburnett MS S2S club came and helped at Tower's Veterans Day event, along with Tower's S2S club.

Spring cleaning time! Students collected old towels and blankets to donate to our local animal shelters and rescues.

Our S2S club revises the tour checklist at the beginning of the year. They use that to help guide families through the school on their first day!

Our S2S club, along with students from Sheppard Elementary, created and decorated boards to place at the 2 Sheppard AFB gates for April, Month of the Military Child.
