Supporting Military Families Every Step of the Way
Welcome to John G. Tower! We are proud to support and celebrate our military-connected students, whose strength, resilience, adaptability, and courage inspire us every day. We understand that military life can bring frequent moves, deployments, and transitions, and we are committed to making every student feel welcomed, supported, and valued from the moment they arrive. Our goal is to provide a caring and inclusive environment where military students can build friendships, grow academically, and feel connected and confident wherever their journey may take them. We are honored to have your family as part of our school community. You are going to love Tower!
Tower Elementary School is honored to have such a large population of military families. We treasure the cultures, stories and memories that each student brings from their military experiences. While we know sometimes being a military kid is tough, we try our best to provide supports for our students and families. Throughout the year, we will provide activities to showcase our military families and all of the knowledge they bring.
We are so proud that Burkburnett ISD (BISD) is part of the Purple Star program, which is recognized for its support of military families. We strive to not only support the military students, but families as well. Our BISD system is proud to have active Student 2 Student (S2S) programs throughout its schools. The S2S program helps connect military and civilian students through peer supports and other activities. We stay quite active throughout the year recognizing our military families and students. Our Veterans Day event is HUGE and the Month of the Military Child (April) will be one to remember.
If you are a new family to Tower, we welcome you! Please make sure to let us know prior to your tour of the school that you are military, so we may connect you and your child(ren) with our military supports.
Did you know our school has a licensed provider who works specifically with our military students of active duty families? Our Military and Family Life Counselor is happy to provide extra support to your child(ren). You will more than likely see her around, and even meet her on your tour of the school. Please feel free to call the school to ask for more information about this program or reach out to your child's teacher for a pamphlet.
