SAFB School Liaison, Susan Raymond

The Campus-Based Military Liaison and School Counselor acts as the primary link between military-connected families & BMS by helping with enrollment & introductions to BMS. She provides support by working with all stakeholders to ensure ease of transition into a new school. She  maintains resources to help students succeed emotionally & academically. As S2S Sponsor, she facilitates student leaders as they build positive peer relationships through service projects, fun events, & peer mentorship.

Counselors help families navigate the enrollment of their students and make sure student needs are met. They work as a collaborative team with the Registrar to ensure all needs are met as students transition into a new school environment. They focus on practical support, social-emotional well-being, and school culture. Counselors work with stakeholders to include; students, parents, teachers, administration, community, and other school districts, to ensure that student's individual needs are met.

As S2S Facilitator, Ms. Wallace works to train existing students on peer leadership, communication, conflict resolution, & diversity. She helps to schedule social events, track the effectiveness of the program, and help meet new students needs as a classroom teacher.

Registrar handles enrollment, records transfer, & correct coding of Military-Connected students. She verifies residency and collaborates directly with Military Liaison/Counselors to request & process records, special services, & processes course selection sheets.
