Organize and implement the induction program to the standards set by the California Department of Education.
Program and deliver yearly activities for the New Teacher Induction Program according to established, accredited program standards.
Assist with external review and accreditation of the New Teacher Induction Program.
Coordinate the work of the induction cohort leads (TOSAs) who assist with the induction program.
Plan and coordinate the hiring, development, and evaluation of mentors in the induction program.
Produce and manage the annual budget for the Induction program.
Monitor the progress of all participating teachers in induction (with a focus on General Education candidates).
Score Individual Learning Plans (ILP) for General Education candidates.
Maintain records for General Education candidates.
Evaluate progress and recommend new teachers for their clear credentials with the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CCTC).
Facilitate biannual Induction Advisory Committee meetings.
Participate in Cluster, Area, and other regional Induction organizations.

Meet as needed with mentee or mentor teacher(s) to offer support and guidance throughout the ILP process.
Participate in the hiring, development, and evaluation of mentors in the induction program.
Serve on Induction Advisory Committee (IAC).

Design and deliver professional development for Mentors on coaching, goal setting, best practices in adults learning, use of appropriate mentoring instruments
Collect and review monthly mentor activity logs
Provide “just in time” support for Mentors
Attend monthly PLC (Professional Learning Community) meetings
Maintain records for Mentors
Serve on Induction Advisory Committee (IAC)
Participate in the hiring, development, and evaluation of mentors in the induction program
• Advise on program implementation,
• Review work of candidates who file a formal Grievance, review the ILP and work submitted, and give final decision.
• Review and approve application for Early Completion.
• Attend end-of-year Colloquium or conduct interview, if needed.
• Help facilitate accreditation process.
• Meet biannually with Induction Advisory Committee to review the Induction program.
