I will teach by example, never requiring a student to attempt any task I would not do myself.
(para U.S. Army Drill Sergeant Creed)
Expectation 1: Be safe. (This includes both physical and intellectual conduct)
Expectation 2: Be at least as kind and compassionate as you would like for me to be. (I will exceed that expectation)
Expectation 3: Always bring to class: 1) your charged laptop, 2) something to write with, and 3) something to write in.
Expectation 4: Arrive on time with an unencumbered mind, ready to try, fail, succeed, and learn from all three.
Do it the Charger way!
Charged Laptop
Pencils/Pens
Journal (See "Math Journals")
Pocketed Folder (Portfolio) - a 3-ring binder is fine if the student prefers, so long as it is something I can keep stored in the classroom while they gradually add to it.
Wired headphones. I don't require this for my class, but I imagine most students will prefer to watch class-related videos for any of their classes with headphones, and blue-tooth/wireless headphones which could connect to their cellphones are no longer allowed.
I will not post plans here, but I will attach scripts, links, and assignments regularly to the student's Google Classroom.
Charged Laptop - much of this class will be built around the "Chalktalk" platform. Lessons will usually be delivered by me with the laptop closed, but all individual work after lessons will be custom-tailored for each student and delivered by "Chalktalk" on their laptops.

Journal (See "Math Journals") - for this class, journals will focus on bellringers and notes from the lessons, and my intent is to give journal quizzes throughout the semester which allow students to keep their journals open and refer to them during the quiz. I most likely will not take up journals like I do with the Geometry classes.
