Mrs. Hornak

Meet the Teacher

Welcome to the new year, Roby Leaders!

My name is Mrs. Hornak. This is my 3rd year teaching Kindergarten and my 9th year teaching at Roby. I was a preschool assistant for 3 years, I was a Reading and Math Interventionist for one year, and I have taught 3rd and 2nd grade. Before teaching at Roby I taught preschool at First Baptist Preschool in Shepherdsville. I LOVE teaching kindergarten!!

I have lived in Bullitt County my entire life (except while I was away at college - Murray State University). I went to Roby Elementary and graduated from Bullitt Central. My husband, Jeff and I have 4 children: Ethan 21, Aaron and Ella 18 year old twins and Beau 15. All of my kids went to Roby and this feels like our home.

When I am not at school I am spending time with my family and my cats. My twins both play soccer in college and we like to travel to watch them play. I have two cats - Theodore Roosevelt and Walker Bush.

When I'm not watching sports I love to read, and play games. My family loves vacations to the beach and Disney!

I can't wait for a fabulous year in Kindergarten!!

Meet the Assistant

Hi! My name is Trisha Lee. I grew up in Louisville, KY. I attended Jefferson County Public Schools. I graduated from Southern High School. I have been a Kindergarten Instructional Assistant here at Roby for 3 years and prior to Kindergarten I worked as a Instructional Assistant in Preschool here at Roby for 5 years.

While I am not working I love to be with my family. My husband Craig and I have two wonderful children: Valerie (15) and Ian (13) and both of my children attend Bullitt County Schools. We love to be outdoors hiking, playing sports, and camping. Both of my children play sports (soccer) so we are always busy with sporting events. We love going on vacations all over the US.

I can't wait for a fabulous year in Kindergarten!!
