How To Write A Resume

Use Canva to create your resume. Type "Resume" in the template search bar.

Make your resume stand out by including the following information:

1) Include a career objective

1 or 2 sentences about your career goals and how your talents and skills align with the needs of the employer.

2) Highlight any experience 

Babysit? Mow Lawns? Volunteer Work? Extracurricular Activities? Be sure to highlight Leadership experience. 

3) Provide a detailed education section

Name of School, Anticipated Graduation Date, GPA, Relevant Coursework, Clubs

4) List awards and achievements

Member of NHS? Team Captain? 

5) Share hard and soft skills

Hard skills are learned and based on experience. (Photoshop, Excel, Word, Print Design) Soft skills are personality. (Active Listening, Verbal Communication, Problem Solving, Team Player)
