My name is Nathan Tackett and I have been teaching at Bullitt East since August of 2004. I am currently in my 21st year of teaching, and my 21st year at Bullitt East. I graduated from Shelby Valley High School in Pike County, Kentucky in 1999, I graduated from Morehead State University in 2004 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with the emphasis in teaching Business and Marketing, and I graduated from the University of the Cumberlands in 2013 with a Master's Degree in Guidance Counseling.
In the past, I have taught Broadcasting, Movie Production, Web Page Design, Financial Literacy, Computer Applications, Advanced Computer Applications, and Business Management. I am now teaching all classes with the Digital Design & Game Development career pathway. In 2018, Bullitt East became only the 5th high school in the entire commonwealth to offer this career pathway! The purpose of the pathway is to introduce students to the world of Computer Science by way of Video Game Design. The courses in the pathway are Digital Literacy, Game Design & Development Principles, Introduction to Programming, and Advanced Game Publishing & Development.
