About Us

Jessica Rodriguez, K-5

Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Tennessee. Growing up and watching her parents, a physical therapist and a nurse, care for others instilled a love of helping others at an early age, and she knew early on that she was going to be a teacher. Mrs. Rodriguez attended College of the Ozarks in Branson, Missouri and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. After college, Mrs. Rodriguez moved to Los Angeles to be a nanny for her new niece; she also joined a company that provided therapy to children and families who struggled with different behavioral conditions. She entered into classroom instruction at Citizens of The World Charter school, a project-based school with a social- emotional program. After moving to the Bay Area, she taught first grade at Spark Charter School for a year and then joined the BCS family as a first grade teacher. This will be her sixth year at BCS and she will be returning as the Independent Study Teacher for grades K-5!

Mrs. Rodriguez currently resides in Los Angeles and enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons (especially at the beach).
