Videos by Mr. Elliott
On May 7th, I went to the 8th grade poetry share hosted by Mr. Elliott. It was meant for 8th graders, but one surprise 6th grader was included! I have exclusive interviews with teachers and students, and a LOT of poem descriptions. I hope you enjoy it!
In anticipation of the event, I got there a little early to see how people were preparing for it. Some looked nervous, stressed; but some people also looked pretty excited. Ms. Bri said that she was “looking forward to connecting with students through poetry."
Before the share, Mr. Elliott did a quick presentation and told us that, “You have to take risks to succeed.”
The teachers shared poems first, and one poem that stuck out to me was the poem If by Radyard Kipling, presented by Ms.Chough.
The first student who shared was our special invite 6th grader, Izzy!
When I asked her what she was feeling when going up to the stage, she said, “I was nervous but excited."
Other notable presenters included Ms. Rebeca, Ms. Sacoh, Dexter Jacoby, Sena Wilker and Abigail Francois, Ms. Breanne, and many, many more.
After that, Abigail and Sena shared the poem Hope is a thing with feathers. Even before this event that was one of my favorite poems ever. I really recommend this poem and I hope you try it out.
To top it all off, Nola and Sophia shared a poem about a school wide meme. Now, before you read any further, I want you to think about what this meme might be

The Art Honor Society is a club managed by Ms. Roxanne. They meet on Fridays in room 357.
Members of the AHS are currently working on a project for Women's History month using Photoshop. They work on a variety of projects including Photoshop, watercolor, and collages.
Ms. Roxanne lets everyone use their imaginations and think freely. Elizabeth from 601 said, ¨It is organized but we can learn and be creative.¨
The club is fun, engaging, and organized. It is fun for anybody who likes art and a little bit of organized calm.
Bugs Bodega VS Off Campus Lunch
By Auggie Miller
Welcome to the 4th publishing of the year! This month, we are going to go over a very heated debate: which is better, the BUGS Bodega, or Off Campus Lunch? - AD (Not short for ACDC)
Money Money!
Let’s dive in into how much you can save with the BUGS Bodega versus Off Campus Lunch. The BUGS Bodega prices are all under $5. Additionally, the BUGS Bodega has the cheapest prices there can be!
On the other hand, Off Campus has some pretty insane costs. The most expensive thing I have found is $20, and guess where you can get it: Holy Pita. That makes it harder for customers, I guess. So, BUGS Bodega won the round!
Overall scores: 1-0 BUGS Bodega has a head start.
Variety of Food
Which has a better Variety of Food: the BUGS Bodega or Off Campus Lunch?
Off Campus consists of a quarter of a mile worth of restaurants, delis, dessert places, and much more! In total, there are 8 restaurants, 3 delis, and 6 dessert places. If you want to know the names of these joints, I will tell you by the end.
However, the BUGS Bodega has only a few kinds of chips and Caprisun, from what I know. Their selection is slowly growing, but it does not compare to Off Campus lunch.
Overall score, 1-1. Off Campus makes a comeback!
Reliability: The Ultimate Tiebreaker
This is it, folks. Who is going to win? The BUGS Bodega, or Off Campus Lunch?
Well, the BUGS Bodega is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays. But if there is severe weather outside, it is consistently open till’ Off Campus is back. On the other hand, Off Campus is always open throughout the week unless severe weather hits. For example, it did not come back for around a week as we just experienced with the Snowstorm.
So, who won?
Off. Campus. Lunch!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for sparing your time for this article. I hope you enjoy your day, but now I am signing off, so bye! - A.D (Not short for ACDC).
