Once you get hired, Buff Sci staff welcomes you with New Employee Orientation. It covers the required HR steps & orientation as well as a review of academic expectations before you start your role at any of Buff Sci Campuses.
A New Employee Summer Training is a comprehensive training in the summer to make sure all new teaching staff is acclimated to Buff Sci Family. It is a two-day session usually scheduled before the all-staff Summer Institute.

We believe lifelong learner students can only be inspired by lifelong learner teachers. To this end, all teachers are eligible and encouraged to attend professional development sessions and take college courses to complete their degree programs.
Our Partner Organizations
Buff Sci partners with Relay Graduate School of Education to provide a master's degree program that is dynamic and tailored to the unique needs of urban education. The program tuition is mostly covered by a grant for eligible staff. New hires are recommended by their school leaders upon successful completion of a school year.
Buff Sci partner up with Buffalo Urban Teaching Fellows Teaching Training Program. The program is an “earn and learn” teacher training program with a paid role in a school and access to tuition assistance – as well as development opportunities and a cohort experience.
Cullen and BuffSci partnership displays strong commitment to providing excellent education for Buffalo students. BuffSci utilizes the grant money to create best practices and share them with area schools to significantly improve the life opportunities for Buffalo students. Cullen Foundation serves the residents of Erie County by providing funding and support that significantly enhances the education of students in grades pre-K through 12 and advances theatre and the performing arts.
