Current Learning Focus...

In January we will read The Giver by Lois Lowry. Students will analyze the story through various activities including a literature response journal, memory narrative, and utopia project.

Independent Reading...

Students are asked to complete independent reading weekly by focusing on their choice of either Option A or Option B (see class information handout for specific details). They are given time during their "Intervention/Extension" class to complete these requirements, but I always encourage them to read more!

If students need access to books, please let me know! I am happy to check my own class library for copies or even order the books if needed.
