Teaching & Mentoring
Teaching Experience
Instructor of record for:
MATH 381, Discrete Mathematics (Fall 2023)
MATH 231, Calculus I (Summer 2023)
MATH 118, Aspects of Modern Mathematics (Fall 2020 and Spring 2021)
MATH 110, College Algebra (Summer 2023)
Teaching assistant for:
MATH 523, Functions of a Complex Variable and Applications (Fall 2020)
MATH 383, First Course in Differential Equations (Summer 2019)
Mentoring Experience
I co-mentored (with Yunus Zeytuncu) a group of undergraduate students at the University of Michigan-Dearborn REU site in mathematical analysis and applications during the summer of 2022.
We worked on a spectral CR-geometry problem. Specifically, we performed a spectral analysis (Weyl laws, Sobolev norms, etc.) of a complex sublaplacian on spheres. We also investigated the spectral gap of the perturbed complex Laplacian on spheres.
Our students presented their results at the Young Mathematicians Conference.

I've mentored five students through UNC's Directed Reading Program (Spring 2021, Fall 2021, Spring 2022, Spring 2023, Fall 2023)
Led reading projects on fractal geometry, measure theory, functional analysis, intro to real analysis, and "hearing the shape of a drum."
Co-mentoring an undergraduate research project (2023-2024)
With Jeremy Marzuola. We will look at the nodal lines of the Neumann Laplacian in perturbed rectangles.
Girls Talk Math team leader (Summer 2023)
Girls Talk Math is a free, two-week summer camp for high schoolers. I led a group of 5 students who learned about quantum mechanics and created a podcast about Prof. Chelsea Walton.
I've served as an AWM (Association for Women in Mathematics) undergraduate mentor (2018-2019)
I was a graduate student mentor for two female undergraduate students through the AWM mentor network. Provided guidance and encouragement on applying to REUs and graduate programs.
