Math Intervention at Rolling Hills provides students an extra opportunity to process math concepts and strengthen their understanding of our math curriculum. Students are placed in Math Intervention based on math teacher recommendations, classroom achievement, and district assessment scores. Math Intervention classes are limited to about 15 students, and they are the student's assigned Exploratory period. Each Math Intervention session lasts for one trimester. At the end of the trimester, we (students, teachers, and parents) will decide if support should continue for another trimester. Math Intervention is meant to relieve stress about a subject area, not add to it. There is never any homework, and grades are Pass/Fail, determined solely by a student's participation and effort.
