We encourage you to go over your child's homework with them. Math homework is meant to be a review from previous lessons and should not take very long to complete (30 minutes tops). If you and your child are stuck on a math problem, sign it and they will be excused from that problem. We would rather have your child stop than create frustration or family conflict.
Homework is reviewed the morning after assigned. It's important for your student to be on time each day, so they can see, correct, and learn from mistakes made on their homework.

Your child’s ability to bring an assignment home, gather and organize necessary materials to complete the assignment, and return the assignment, strengthens their sense of responsibility. Time management skills are developed and learned.
Homework serves as a window through which you can observe your child's education and express positive attitudes towards your child and their education. As children grow older, homework and the amount of time engaged in homework, increases in importance.
