No matter where we are learning on campus, the rules/expectations are the same.
My usual first step is to meet with your student to review the rule, why it's important, how to follow it, and smooth out any obstacles.
I might also ask your student to call home. My hope is that you can give your child a pep talk so they can start again and be successful. Sometimes all kids need is their trusted adult telling them, "you've got this buddy" and/or, "I know you can turn it around and have a great day" to get them back on track.
Your child's success depends on us working as a team.
In Room 17 my goal is to support each student in increasing their empathy towards others and grow their positive mindset. The focus is on:
Manners
Kindness
Leadership
Courage
Grit
Creativity
Mistakes help your brain grow!
Through a positive classroom environment, growth mindset focus, and collaborative problem solving,
I aim to help students become resilient young people.
