One big issue I have with professional websites is that they always seems a bit disconnected to the actual person. So here are some random facts about myself to make me seem a bit more (or less) human:
I collect pictures of microwaves abandoned on the street
I cut apart and restitch different shirts together in my free time (they end up looking cool)
I once ran down a hill and hopped three fallen trees in a row at full sprint, no injuries
I read and take notes on medical textbooks as a hobby (currently on Hemoptysis in Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine)
I made and tested a homemade TENS Unit on myself. Only burned my skin the one time before I learned redundancies in fail-safes are a necessity, and that commercial TENS Unit designs run on low power for a reason.
I like to boulder, and my favorite types of problems are ones with dynos
I'm very bad with directions. I once got lost on Commonwealth Ave for an hour (for context it is a single straight line street)
I can't whistle, but I can handstand
I prefer physical books to digital, and handwritten notes to typed
My favorite self-made saying: "A minute with an expert is worth an hour with an amateur."
