Islam in East Africa
This program focussed on the history of Islam in East Africa and the evolution of Islamic culture in the region. Speakers included Kimberly Wortmann (Wake Forest University) and Abdin Chande (Adelphi University). This event was co-sponsored by Georgetown CCAS and ACMCU and Boston University's African Studies Center. It was funded in part by a grant from the Lilly Endowment.
