Scholarships are "grants or payments made to support a student's education, awarded on the basis of academic or other achievements". National scholarships, like the Gates Millennium Scholarship, typically award larger amounts and include an extensive application process and pool. While, local scholarships often award smaller amounts and have smaller applicant pools.
Scholarships are monies you do not have repay and most times, go toward the cost of attendance for your college or post-secondary education.
Please note that many of these scholarship links/deadlines are to the applications from previous years. Since many scholarships have spring deadlines, organizations will likely update their applications during the winter.
